Do you know that under the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law (Section 11, RA 11210) female workers who are non-members of the SSS are entitled to maternity benefits. However, they shall be governed by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Circular No. 022-2014 or the “Social Health Insurance Coverage and Benefits for Women About to Give Birth.”
Do you know that under the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law (RA 11210) those covered for the grant of maternity leave are all female workers in the government and private sector, including in the informal economy, regardless of the civil status or the legitimacy of her child.
Thus, the benefits are as follows:

GOVERNMENT SECTOR, PRIVATE SECTOR AND INFORMAL ECONOMY
Period of Maternity Leave w/pay:
105-DAYS W/ ADDITIONAL
15 DAYS IF QUALIFIED AS A SOLO PARENT
Optional Period of Extension:
30 DAYS WITHOUT PAY WITH 45 DAYS NOTICE BEFORE THE END OF MATERNITY LEAVE. NOTICE IS NOT NECESSARY IN CASE OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY BUT SUBSEQUENT NOTICE SHALL BE GIVEN TO HEAD OF AGENCY
Period in case of Miscarriage/Emergency Termination of Pregnancy: 60 DAYS WITH FULL PAY
