Convenient way to commute around SM North, Trinoma, SM Megamall and Glorietta 5

April 2, 2018

Commuting from one point to another around Metro Manila could really be very time-consuming because of the traffic. It could even be frustrating when there’s no convenient transportation service provider and you have to wait alongside the road. The good news is, P2P buses are now available in Metro Manila. So far, the most convenient way to commute around SM North, Trinoma, SM Megamall and Glorietta 5 is through P2P. Why? Because…

  1. Unlike waiting and negotiating for a taxi/cab ride, P2P buses are consistent. When you pay for your fare, that’s it. They won’t charge you anything else and you don’t have to negotiate with your fare.
  2. It’s hassle-free. You just have to locate where is the P2P terminal of the mall, buy a ticket and go.
  3. It is air conditioned.
  4. Basically a tour-like set up from one point to another.

Since Uber is no longer available in the Philippines starting April 8, 2018 (Grab bought Uber Philippines), the next convenient way to commute around SM North, Trinoma, SM Megamall and Glorietta 5, in my opinion, is via Grab app. However, when the traffic is heavy, there could be a high fare with Grab, too. Money-wise, P2P bus service is really a good choice.

What is a P2P bus or a P2P bus service?

P2P stands for point to point. The bus would basically take you from one point to another and vice versa. Normally, it will not stop along or in between routes to pick up or drop off passengers. It would only accept passengers from point of departure and drop off the passengers at the point of destination.

In SM North, Trinoma, SM Megamall and Glorietta 5, the nicest bus out there is the P2P Premium Bus of Froehlich Tours, Inc. They have these double decker high-end buses that could make you feel you are just “touring” around from one mall to the other. The seats are more of like “elevated” and there are comfort rooms inside the buses.

The cost:
The P2P fare is also fair. It costs around 75 Pesos as of March 29, 2018.

The P2P buses are always air conditioned to ensure convenience of passengers. I’m not sure about other companies’ P2P services but in Froehlich Tours, passengers can easily buy a week’s worth of passes online. It saves time to avoid waiting in lines.
