The Ecumenical Prayer for the Courts

There are billions of people in the world with different religions and beliefs. So, to be fair/neutral during meetings and gatherings in our courts or some other official bodies, an ecumenical prayer is preferred to be prayed before actually proceeding with the activity. With this way, everybody prays in harmony with one another. Ecumenical Prayer for the Courts functions as a prayer for everyone.
Below is the Ecumenical Prayer for the Courts. You can find this prayer posted on walls in a number of Philippine courts:
Almighty God, we stand in your presence as our Supreme Judge. We humbly beseech You to bless and inspire us so that what we think, say, and do will be in accordance with You will.Enlighten our minds, strengthen our spirit, fill our hearts with fraternal love, wisdom and understanding, so that we can be effective channels of truth, justice, and peace. In our proceedings today, guide us in the path of righteousness for the fulfillment of Your greater glory. Amen.
It’s good to be sensitive to what others might feel especially when professing your faith because no two people are exactly the same.
